---The fifth annual Scuba Santas event saw over 70 divers take to the waters of the National Diving and Activity Centre near Chepstow to raise money for the RNLI and spread some Christmas cheer.

On a glorious but cold winter morning divers descended on the UK's deepest inland dive site dressed in full Father Christmas costume hoping to take the total raised for the RNLI to more than £20,000.

Organiser, Lloyd Watkin said: "We're now less than £3,000 away from raising over £20,000 for the RNLI, an amazing achievement, and there's still money waiting to come in.

"The original event was born out of the popular scuba diving forum Yorkshire Divers in 2007 with a group of just eight.

"The ethos behind Scuba Santas is to hold a fun Christmas diving event that also raises valuable funds for the RNLI whom as divers we rely on.
