Bands Scouting for Girls, BRIT award-nominated The Feeling and comedic Welsh rap group Goldie Lookin' Chain will all perform in Usk next month. Salmonsfest, a weekend family-friendly festival organised by the Three Salmons Hotel, will be welcoming the headliners over bank holiday weekend from Friday 22nd August to Sunday 24th August. The event will be held in the grounds of the Three Salmons Hotel in Usk and organisers hope the festival will welcome 3,000 people to the event over the three days. The hotel even purchased some extra land for the event which has doubled its capacity. Alison Williams, event co-ordinator, said: "We're hoping the event will be really good for the town and we are trying to involve all age groups. "In addition to the bands we have food stalls and face painting for the children. "The festival will be an opportunity to get up close and personal with the bands and the event will be considerably boutique. "We picked a time where bands were free after playing Glastonbury and we managed to secure three great artists. Discounts on accommodation at the Three Salmons Hotel is being offered for ticket holders.
