Two NEW Monmouth buildings have been entered for the prestigious 2010 Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors awards, and hope to make it to the final shortlist, to be announced next month.
Monmouth School's groundbreaking new sports pavilion has been nominated for the Community Benefit Award.
The second building is the Grange single-storey preparatory day school for seven- to 11-year-olds, which has been constructed on an undeveloped brownfield site adjacent to the school's sports hall.
Despite the recession, a record 32 Welsh sites have been nominated for the awards, a 20 percent increase on last year. For more information, http://www.rics.org/wales">www.rics.org/wales.
