Monmouth Comprehensive School held their annual sports award ceremony last week, celebrating the very best of players in football - boys and girls - , hockey, rugby, athletics, netball and rowing. Also awards were given for their Leadership Academy - Alexis Waite, GCSE High Achievement and Dedication - Tarran Evans and Roxy Manns, and Sport and coaching principles, where Alys Roberts had High Achievement and Izzy Hobson was given Dedication. Areas of achievement and dedication in Public Services as well as Sport and Exercise Science were given.

Team of the Year was given to the Y8 football team, led by Mr Oldale for their attitude and dedication to football and progress, finishing as Newport Cup Champions and being the first KS3 team to reach the Welsh Cup Nationals rounds in may years
