The Sappers of the Royal Monmouthshire Royal Engineers (Militia) test out a bridge built by them in just four hours.
They built a nine-bay double-storey Medium Girder Bridge to span a 22m (75') by 10m (33') deep gap on the Isle of Portland in Dorset.
A troop of 35 volunteers constructed the bridge on a challenging site in the speedy time.
To demonstrate their confidence in their skill, they were all happy to pose for a photograph on top of one of the regiment's DROPs trucks at mid-span.
The regiment is the first TA unit in over a decade to attempt to build bridge at this location.
Once the photo was taken, it was straight back to work to dismantle the structure and move it back to the stores.
