SIR,
In his election leaflet, Labour parliamentary candidate Hamish Sandison demonstrates once again his ambition to be a county councillor. He also slavishly follows guidance ordering activists not to mention Labour's record in government.
Sandison tells us that he worked for Jack Jones at the T&GWU. Would this be the Jack Jones who was recruited to work for the Soviet Union by Oleg Gordievsky, the KGB's highest-ranking defector?
When will the Labour candidate address national matters? He served on Labour's Policy Commission for Education, but according to Frank Field, "Labour is educating people fit only for life on benefits".
Labour has created the biggest national debt crisis in our history, and their candidate wants to tell us where he stands on fox hunting! Labour refuses to hold a public enquiry into deaths of over 120 people in a NHS hospital, and no one has even been reprimanded for lack of care or incompetence.
It's not surprising Labour wishes to hide its record of failures. Hamish Sandison treats the people of Monmouthshire as fools. Labour still isn't working, and the people of Monmouthshire are not fools.
