Forest rowers Megan Jephcote and Jess Boon were celebrating a weekend of rowing at the Totnes Rotal regatta with a shared first place.
The junior 13 girls were going to be up against it in the final where they were rowing against junior 14 girls and two very strong teams from Dart Totnes and Plymouth.
But they pushed all the way and could not be split at the finish line therefore the umpires agreed it was a dead heat. The girls won the winning tankards and now have a share of the winning shield for 6 months.
