Kirsty Gwynne and Michelle Hughes of Ross Rowing Club competed in the Oxford City Regatta at the weekend. They triumphed against some very stiff opposition, - two Oxford girls who had won silver medals in the National Champions rowing in a coxed four, and had now progessed to 'Elite status'. Kirsty and Michelle reigned supreme on both days with a superb show, winning easily. They were supported by the Ladies' captain Sheron Dean Lucas and Ladies'coach Ruth Davies. The two lady rowers are coached at Ross by Marcus Constance and Ruth Davies. The coaches both observed how dedicated and hard-working the girls had been and said that they deserved to win.
