ONE of the oldest pubs in Monmouth, The Robin Hood has confirmed it will be reopening today at 12pm for refreshments after closing for several months due to Storm Claudia.

The Beacon spoke to co-owner of the The Robin Hood, Clair Beard who confirms her excitement on behalf of both her and her husband Mark Beard.

“Today we are actually opening for the first day at 12pm for drinks since the flood,” said Clair.

The building unfortunately suffered a devastating amount of damage, but after undergoing a full refurbishment and from the unwavering support from local builders, tradesmen and volunteers they are now ready to open to the Monmouth community.
