MONMOUTH will be subject to a number of road closures next week as the annual Monmouth Music Festival begins.

The festival, this year celebrating its 35th anniversary, begins next Friday (28th July) and will run for eight days.

Until Saturday 4th August, there will be closures from 7pm to 12am on Monnow Street from its junction with the southern entrance into the Oldway Centre to its junction with Blestium Street. Blestium Street will also be closed from its junction with Monnow Street to its junction with the mini-roundabout adjacent to Waitrose.

On Sunday (30th July) both roads will be closed from 10am to 12am, while the family fun day takes place.
