1 RIFLES rugby team will face Monmouth firsts this Saturday afternoon (2nd March) in the annual Jamie Gunn memorial game on Chippenham Fields.

Monmouth resident, and rugby player Jamie was killed in Afghanistan in 2009 while serving with 1RIFLES, based in Beachley, Chepstow.

The game will be held at 2.30pm and donations to the Army Benevolent Fund will be welcomed. Come down to show your support for both teams, and Jamie's family.

1RIFLES were also supported by Chepstow Racecourse on Saturday (23rd February) at the annual Rifles Race Day. For the full report on the day, see next week's paper (6th March).
