ANGRY RESIDENTS OF Goldwire Lane handed Nick Ramsay AM a petition for traffic calming measures in their area on Monday 20th April, after a young child was knocked over there last month.
Tia Hartshorn, aged six, was crossing the road from behind a parked vehicle on Wednesday 17th March, when she was hit by a passing vehicle and flung up into the air, landing hard on the road.
Luckily, Tia was not seriously injured, just being badly bruised and shook up, but the incident sparked concern among residents, as they had felt it would only be a matter of time before such an incident occurred.
The petition has 87 signatures and residents have two main causes for concern.
