MONMOUTH TOWN reserve team were back in action last Saturday in a long awaited cup clash.

It was a scrappy affair probably due to the lack of football over the last 2 months. Pontyclun were playing an incredibly high line in defence and were twice caught out first by Craig Lewis then by Martin Dembicki. Pontyclun replied before the break when a Chis Tyler clearance was deflected past keeper Campbell, Nevill Harris and Eddie Murphy took control after the break in midfield, but if it wasn't for Campbell pulling off some unbelievable saves it could have been a different story.
