The lives of those who died on board HMS Monmouth at the Battle of Coronel were remembered at a service at St Mary's Priory Church this week.
The special service is held each year by the Monmouth Branch of the Royal Naval Association (RNA) to honour the ship's company lost on 1st November 1914.
Rev David McGladdery led the service, reading from the Gospel of John.
