Finally the waiting is over and the Royston Young pavilion is open at Goodrich Cricket Club. The opening ceremony took place on Sunday 5th of July when Mrs Pam Young cut the ribbon to open the pavilion named after her late husband. The Avenue was looking resplendent with all the hard work that had gone in to getting this day arranged paying off. The trees were in line, the view over to the black mountains was outstanding and the pavilion and marquees were bathed in sunshine. If the Australians had turned up they would have wanted to play the first test at Goodrich.
