Police officers are re-appealing for information following a road traffic collision that occurred on the eastbound A40 near Raglan last Thursday morning (7th November).

The collision happened at about 11am and involved a Volvo articulated lorry which left the carriageway near to the old Raglan services.

A 59-year-old man, Frank Bremner,  died as a result of the collision.

Officers are appealing to witnesses who were in the area at the time of the collision and who may well have been travelling from outside of the Gwent Force area, in particular a red coloured articulated lorry and a silver coloured vehicle.

Both vehicles were travelling westbound in the general direction of Newport at the time of the incident.

Police are appealing for those drivers to come forward. Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call 101 quoting log 138 07/11/13.
