RAGLAN Afternoon Tea's first social was held on 28th January at Raglan Old School and exceeded the organisers expectations.

The team was overwhelmed with the support and response from guests, as well as local business people who have made generous donations to help the group move forward.

Caroline Price, a member of the group running Raglan Afternoon Tea, said: "I feel all communities need an independent place, where people can meet monthly for a chat over tea and cake, making new friends or meeting up with new friends.

"The future looks rosy with many speakers, demonstrations and outings for the group planned."

The next social will be held at The Old School, Raglan, on Wednesday 18th February at 2pm when Guide Dogs for the Blind will be visiting.

All are welcome to attend.
