A new Raglan services could be on the cards following an application by Euro Garages Ltd to demolish and rebuild the services on the north and south side of the A40.
The company intends to rebuild smaller buildings for trading and café space creating up to 45 jobs on each side. They are not proposing to continue with a motel on the northbound route.
The northbound application number is DC/2013/00753 and 00760 for southbound traffic.
Euro Garages Ltd is a north of England petrol station company that won Forecourt Trader of the Year in 2013, and runs 70 service stations nationwide including the service station north of Ross-on-Wye on the Ross spur.
The company's convenience stores are all Spar-branded stores, and it relies upon Burger King, Greggs and Subway for its fast food outlets and Starbucks for provision of coffee.
