Raglan entertained Fairfield from the division below in the first round of the Gwent Central League Cup.

With Fairfield's first team, who top Gwent County Two, not having a game it was inevitable they would field some first teamers.

Having said that, this Raglan team should be a match for most sides as it features a good mix of youth and experience.

The home side were weakened by players missing due to the Ryder Cup but this was a below-par performance.

Raglan took the game by the scruff of the neck in the first 10 minutes and got their reward when Tyler rose to head home a Hollingsbee corner.

For the remainder of the half Raglan lost control and allowed Fairfield back in the game, conceding an equaliser just before the break.
