Raglan lost three-two in the second round of the Just Cars cup to rivals New Inn which means an early exit for them after what was a promising start knocking Crickhowell out of the cup in the first round.

The villagers ended up down one nil at the end of the first half and started off the second half with determination to claw their way back into the game and things looked promising when Eddie Murphy drew them level with a goal from a free kick.

But New Inn pulled back with some terrific chances and took the score to three-one. Raglan by now were desperate to make a mark and Murphy managed to pull another goal from a late penalty to make the end result look a little less disappointing for the villagers. But in the end it was the final score of three-two that signalled the end of any cup chances for the home team. Man of the match, Justin Harris
