SIR,
I would like to say a very big thank you to the students of Monmouth Comprehensive, past and present, who have made the last 21 years of working with them such a joy.
There are a few who must be mentioned: Jake, Scott, Amy, Jodi, Briony, Ella, Bri, Harry, Aled, Tom, George and Julian.
In 21 years I have seen many changes, some good, some not so good, but the constant stream of pupils passing through has been what made the job so enjoyable, watching their progress, listening to their plans for the future and many of them still keep in touch and have very successful careers and, of course, many are mothers and fathers themselves.
I would also like to thank Jayne in reception, Cath in special education, Mr Jones, Andy Williams, Wendy and the wonderful girls in the canteen who work tirelessly to feed everyone, Kirston, the librarian, Julie and Jenny.
Thank you all for the gifts and flowers.
I shall continue to keep links with the school and my many friends there.
