THE Society for the Welfare of Horses and Ponies in St Maughans welcomed more than 250 people to its summer open day last Sunday (10th July).

Visitors helped to raise more than £6,500 by donating, as well as enjoying the refreshments, stalls and dog show.

The highlight of the day was a parade of rehomed rescues who returned from their homes with their new owners to show off the difference SWHP has made to their lives.
