FUNDING of £2,000 is being sought to be released to support the ongoing running costs of the Caldicot Town Team (CTT).

The CTT, established in 2013, brings together public and private interests in improving the vitality and vibrancy of Caldicot town centre. The money, which will be taken from the section 106 funds received from the building of Asda in Caldicot, is to cover expenses such as electricity, Public Liability Insurance, and stationary and postage costs.

The original proposal was agreed by the Severnside Programme Board on 30th June, and forwarded to be discussed at the Monmouthshire County Council (MCC) Cabinet meeting to be held today (2nd September).

If agreed, the funds will allow the CTT to continue improving investment, market trading, and digital accessibility in the town centre.
