SIR,

I would like to respond to the letters that I have been reading in your pages of late.

My father passed away 15 months ago; had it not been for the rapid response of our Ambulance Service it would have been sooner.

On one occasion I had travelled from Swansea to visit and on my arrival had to ring for an ambulance and by the time I had put down the phone the ambulance was outside my parents' bungalow.

Can local people not find anything else to complain about?

Our Emergency Services need more credit instead of criticism.
