The Welsh Dragons polo crosse tournament was held at Usk show ground for the third season. Usk's terrific ground and venue made a fast, fun and exciting day out watching Polo Crosse. The game consists of three six minute chukkas; the ball is thrown at high speed between fast galloping horses, changing direction very quickly with every rider using their great skilled technique and horsemen ship to score as goal to make a fantastic exciting game to watch! Teams travelled from Brecon, Talybont, Llangeniar, Pentyrd, North Devon and North Warwickshire to compete. By holding the tournament at Usk they hope to attract more members! The United Kingdom polo Crosse Association have teams travelling from as far as Australia, New Zealand and Zimbabwe who play with UK clubs for the season! Last year the UK squad came second in the Polo Crosse world cup, the UK will be hosting this event in 2011! Find more information on their website http://www.polocrosse.org.uk">www.polocrosse.org.uk about their next tournament, which is to be held at the Usk Show Ground on the 26/27 July, for a great family day out with refreshments!
