IF you are placing your vote in person, this is what you should expect on the day.

Your voting card will tell you the location you need to attend and place your vote, depending on your postcode.

You do not need to bring your ID or polling card with you on the day, staff will help locate you to the correct area and give you a ballot paper with a list of the candidates in your area you can choose to elect. You have one vote and once you have placed it you can post it in the ballot box.

Polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm on Thursday May 7, and results will follow the next day (May 8) after the count.
