Monmouth Police Station could move from its home in St John Street as part of a police authority review, according to a county councillor.

Councillor Andrew Crump, chairing a Central Monmouthshire Area Committee meeting last Thursday (7th July), said: "It is unlikely Monmouth Police Station will stay where it is.

"The general feeling is that a reprovision of policing in Monmouth is what is needed," added Cllr Crump, who is a member of Gwent Police Authority.

The authority has already announced plans to replace its stations in Raglan and Tintern with a mobile police station and relocate officers in Usk to Sessions House.
