Police are looking for a Prescoed prisoner who has been missing since 6.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 22nd July).
Luke Price was travelling in a van, being taken back to HMP Prescoed. When the van stopped at Sawbrook junction in Cardiff City Centre he got out with another prisoner, 24-year-old James Horwood, and made off.
Horwood has since handed himself in. Price was convicted of burglary at Cardiff Crown Court in May 2013.
He is described as being white, 5 feet 11 inches tall and of medium build. He has fair hair and blue eyes.
He is not a registered sex offender.
It is believed there may be a potential risk due to the fact that the individual is no longer in the custody of the prison service.
Members of the public are advised not to approach him and to call police on 101, or in an emergency 999, quoting log number 447 22/07/14.
