Gwent Police is appealing for information following two incidents in the last week involved a white transit van.

The first incident occurred at about 6.45pm/7pm on Friday 30th September near to the entrance of Pembroke Close, Undy.

The van stopped on the side of the road and a 13-year-old girl was asked to get in – the teenager ignored the request. No physical contact was made and she wasn't harmed.

The second incident occurred on the evening of Tuesday 4th October on Bulwark Road near the Spar shop in Bulwark.

A teenage boy was walking along the road when the van drove past him slowly – a man got out but did not approach the boy or speak to him.

Officers are investigating and anyone with any information is asked to call Gwent Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

These are isolated incidents, officers are keen to reassure the public no children have been harmed in the area as a result of any of these incidents and the youngsters did the right thing in reporting it to police.
