A DEVELOPMENT featuring more than 100 houses has been planned for Raglan.

Richborough Estates, a land promotion business, distributed letters to residents in Raglan detailing proposals for 111 new houses on land south of Monmouth Road last week.

The site is bordered by Monmouth Road and Station Road and is set to include new public open space and the retention of public right of way.

According to the letter, the proposal will provide a number of benefits including helping to meet local needs, financial contributions towards community facilities including the new village hall.

Richborough is considering submitting an outline planning application to Monmouthshire County Council for the principle of residential development.

As part of this process, they are holding a public exhibition to exhibit their plans and share more information with the public.

The consultation will be on on Tuesday 13th February at Raglan Old Church School Hall between 3pm to 7.30pm.

This proposal is separate to the 45 house development west of Chepstow Road, Raglan which Monmouthshire County Council sought public feedback about at the end of January.
