Residents, organisations and businesses in the Severnside area of Monmouthshire are to be asked to participate in a simple survey to identify what issues are important to them.

The survey is carried out by the Severnside Programme Board - consisting of representatives from the county council, local town and community councils, voluntary organisations, housing associations and the health board - and its findings will help shape a community-led plan for the area.

Those undertaking the survey will be asked to choose their priorities from a list including education, transport, the environment, health, youth facilities and a number of other subjects.

The survey may be accessed by logging onto the following link:  http://bitly.com/my7side

Responses must be returned by Monday 2nd November.

The Severnside Programme Board chairperson Alan Davies said:

“It is essential that the Severnside Whole Place Plan represents the opinions and aspirations of the whole of the Severnside community. This survey gives everyone in Severnside the opportunity to give their views on the future priorities and vision for Severnside. So whether you’re elderly, young or somewhere in between, your views are important and will determine the areas of focus for the Severnside Programme Board.”

The purpose of the Severnside Programme Board is to oversee the delivery of the Severnside Whole Place Plan.

The board is therefore responsible for promoting and improving the economic, social and environmental well-being of Severnside. Currently, the local business community is under represented on the board, we therefore urgently need experienced business people to join us on the board.
