In reference to the letter from the Postdoctoral Research Officer correcting the obvious typographical error in the Beacon, re the election for the National Assembly, which is on 5th May, there is no need to check it on the website.

All candidates will be publishing election material, as will the press.

I wonder who pays the Postdoctoral Research Officer and what his/ her duties are; another bureaucrat.

May I also refer to the letter from Mr James.

I agree wholeheartedly with his comments about viewing Parliament and realising just who we are paying for.

I do not need to elaborate because I have personal knowledge having had an MPs PR Company as my professional bodies PR consultant some 25 years ago, when president of that body.

One has to accept that initiated MPs and AMs are guided by civil servants and established colleagues, who encourage them to inflate claims to keep up with their own expenses.

I prefaced my letter by reference to what Huw Edwards said and Mr James would be well advised not to try to score by personal attacks as it is counter-productive and misleading.
