SIR, The WashTub Lunch Penallt dinner ladies, Amanda and Jill, are raising funds for a commercial dishwasher for Pelham Village Hall. To enable us to ditch the Marigolds we're running a WashTub lunch every month, all freshly made with the best ingredients. This month's WashTub lunch will be on Monday 2nd March. To celebrate St David's Day we'll be serving a traditional cawl served with leeks, creamy potatoes and WashTub's spicy sauce.   And to follow there'll be our secret recipe, Penallt Meringue Pie, with our own village blackcurrants – all this for £7.   We have two special guests this month, too, so, to make a booking, phone Amanda Jack on 01600 860744.
