The pedestrian injured in the collision with a car on the B4521 at Skenfrith last week remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The crash happened at around 4pm on Monday 13 July when a pedestrian, thought to be attending to parked vehicles preparing to resurface the road, was hit by a vehicle and sustained serious injuries was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition.
The main road from Wales into England remained closed until the following day for crash investigations to take place.
No arrests have yet been made.
The road was being made ready for resurfacing during the evenings and maintenance vehicles had been parked there ready for the works to commence.
