SIR,

I am writing reference the story in last week's Beacon concerning Iceland taking over the old Woolworths site.

Perhaps the gentleman concerned can answer the following questions:

Why is it all the legal parking spaces in Agincourt Square, Priory Street, St Mary's Street, Whitecross Street and Almshouse Street are all full well before 9am, when most shops open.

Why is the Glendower Street shoppers car park also full by that time.? Why, also, have the Monmouth School for Boys not got their own adequate car park?

What does the gentleman concerned want in place of the old Woolworths store? A two storey block of flats, another charity shop or a boarded up eyesore?
