A CHARITY onesie walk last Sunday (30th August) to raise money for the cancer ward at Velindre Hospital is hoped to have raised £1,000.

40 walkers set off from Monmouth Caravan Park, on Rockfield Road and walked 5km to Ross-on-Wye.

Participants collected for Velindre with buckets on the way.

A great day was had by all who took part.

Organiser John Coughlin said: “This is the first time we’ve done a walk like this and we received good support.”
