SARAH 'Olwen' Griffiths, a great-grandmother from Penyclawdd farm, near Raglan, was two days old when the ocean liner RMS Titanic was launched in Belfast.
Looking forward to her 104th birthday this Friday, (29th May) she has been involved in farming all her life, spending time as a teacher at Llanthony and playing the organ at Pen-y-Clawdd church for 50 years.
With three children, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren to help her remember her birthday, Olwen has looked back over the years and describes her childhood on the farm as a "very happy time."
