A Cross Ash pupil is progressing incredibly well with his new blade. Six-year-old Ollie Bauert has been throwing himself into plenty of sporting activities and is enjoying the independence his blade is bringing. Ollie's mum Micaela Bauert is thrilled with how the blade has impacted Ollie's life. She said: "Ollie's life has really changed since he was fitted with his blade. "His everyday life is made easier and he seems to have a lot more fun. "Simple activities like playing Star Wars at school or participating in the school football team have now become possible. "Recently Ollie took part in his first football tournament, something that would not have been possible before. "Sports Day had always been an issue for Ollie but this year he participated, even taking part in the long distance run. "No he didn't win, not even nearly, but he did have a smile on his face all the way around, and he was delighted to run over the finish line without being helped. "The blade has given Ollie the chance to be far more independent."
