On Sunday 10th July, the Old Monmothians experienced their first defeat of the season to Denstone Wanderers by six wickets in their quarter final clash of The Cricketer Trophy.

After having to re-schedule the fixture to Wormelow Cricket Club due to a damp square at the School Ground, the Old Boys lost the toss and Denstone elected to bowl first.

Denstone utilised the early testing conditions and reduced the home side to 53 for four.
