SIR,

Last week, you carried a letter from David Davies supporting (!) my argument in an article during the previous week.

I'm pleased to see in your letters column that Monmouth's Conservative MP supports my view that the planning application to move the livestock market from Abergavenny to Bryngwyn should be called in for decision by the Welsh Assembly Government.

What he studiously avoids saying is whether he is in favour of the planning application being granted or not. I think his constituents ought to know.

For the record, I support those who would be most directly affected by this decision, including the Bryngwyn Rural Community Action Group, and the local Community Councils of Llanarth Fawr and Llanover, in opposing the application. When will our MP come off the fence?
