IT’S an Agatha Christie murder mystery with a special twist… Don’t expect Murder on the Nile to mirror the better-known Death on the Nile, the all-star film when Monmouth’s Off Centre Theatre group perform the play over three nights in November.
“It’s a new twist on a well-known story, in true Christie style,” says play director Jane Bryant.
“You can still expect a cruise down the river, a dead body – or more – and a long list of suspects. But, well I don’t want to spoil your fun and give too much away, but let’s just say you will not find a Belgian detective this time!
“I have been blessed with an excellent cast, all of whom have worked exceptionally hard to become the characters you will see. We are bringing opulence and Egyptian flavour to the Savoy stage – such fun!”I
f you have seen the film or have read the book, you may remember something of the story. But this time the characters are different and the ending is different. Death and intrigue await!
