A new express bus service connecting Monmouth and Newport is to be launched early next month.

The X25 service, which will stop at Raglan and Usk, is the first of its type in the area and will start running on Monday 5th December.

The introduction of the service has been supported by a public consultation led by Monmouth MP David Davies.

"The new X25 service is wonderful news for Monmouth, Raglan and Usk, and the feedback I have received from commuters, shoppers and local residents suggests it will be well supported.

"I am extremely grateful to Newport Transport for launching the route and I hope people who travel regularly to Newport will give it a try."
