Councillors and residents of Monmouth continue to express frustration as illegal parking in the town continues unresolved.

The situation has become so bad that one Monmouth town councillor has made a call on social media for residents to be able to report anti social parking.Town councillor Emma Bryn said: "Dangerous cycling around corners when cars are parked on double yellows like this (pictured). I do wish we could introduce citizen tickets so we could report this kind of selfish behaviour."Cllr Bryn has made efforts to make Monmouthshire County Council aware of the parking problems Monmouth faces ’only to have it batted back’.Another resident responded: "Council are responsible, I report in the app and they say they will add it to the patrol route. For the odd occasion they have someone in town. Useless response."This has been an ongoing frustration amongst councillors and residents, the Beacon reporter some weeks ago on anti social parking outside of the King’s Head Inn and on Monnow Bridge.
