There will be a temporary closure of a section of Monnow Street on August 3 to allow Welsh water to carry out necessary works.

The street will be closed from 8am to 6pm from its junction with Agincourt Street for 30m downwards.

Reasonable access will be maintained for properties fronting the affected lengths of road during the period of the closure.

A signed diversionary route will be in place as follows.

Anyone wishing to travel south will be directed from Hereford Road traffic lights to Dixton Road, A40, B4293 Beech Road, B4293 Portal Road, B4293 Cinderhill Street, B4293 Blestium Street.

Anyone wishing to travel north should go via B4293 Blestium Street, B4293 Cinderhill Street, A40, A466 Dixton Road.
