THREE Monmouthshire men are taking part in the 'ultimate banger adventure' to raise funds for Cancer Research.

Adrian 'bomber' Whitehead, Graham 'rear gunner' Bridges and Nick 'mid upper' Goodhall will take part in the Monte Carlo or Bust challenge and will travel from Namur, Belgium to Monte Carlo in a specially adapted 1996 Rover 600.

The trio, nicknamed the Moosehunters, will commence on Thursday 4th June and finish on Sunday 7th June.

Monte Carlo or Bust sees fundraisers from the UK travel through Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and France to Monto Carlo in a car costing less than £300.

The trio will complete various challenges on route to win points and prizes.

Adrian Whitehead said: "Monte Carlo or bust is a banger rally. With three friends, three days, six countries and 1,400 miles all in aid of Cancer Research.

"The charity is very close to all three of us as we have all been affected by this terrible disease.

"Moosers to Monte here we come!"
