THE owners of Monnow Bridge Fish and Chips have announced they are closing after serving the community for 45 years.
The businesses confirmed this on their Facebook page and said their closure was partly due to difficulties arising from making an insurance claim after the flood which hit the town last November.
“We’d like to thank all our customers for your support, and all the people we have employed over the years,” said the business on their Facebook.
The fish and chip shop is located next to the Monnow Bridge and served as a popular place the community visited over the years, the property is now going up for sale.
The Morgan Family shared their appreciation to residents who have been long lasting customers over the years and to their employees who have worked hard to serve the community.
They signed off by saying, “Thanks again to the people of Monmouth for all support over the last four decades, we will miss you.”
