The latest monthly statistics for ambulance response times in south-east Wales have been released by the Welsh Assembly Government.

The November figures show that in south-east Wales, including Gwent, the percentage of emergency responses arriving at the scene within eight minutes had settled at 65 per cent, repeating the figures for October.

The target for Wales is 65 per cent; in south-east Wales the performance was 65.4 per cent.

Monmouthshire, on the other hand, continues to experience the worst response times. Only 52.5 per cent of emergency calls were responded to within the eight minute target; in October, the figure was 52.7 per cent.
