MONMOUTHSHIRE Hearing Centre was one of the many businesses in Monmouth, severely impacted by the storm, leaving volunteers and staff to clean up the silt and debris which covered the premises.

Owner of the Monmouthshire Hearing Centre burst into tears when she saw the impact it had on her business, but with the businesses undergoing the clean-up they are slowly getting back on track.

The hearing centre, located at the bottom of Monnow Street was hit hard by the storm but residents quickly stepped into help the business where they can.

“Unfortunately we got completely devastated by the storm yesterday, we’ve managed to get in today. I’ve got all my team here to clean it all out and get rid of things which have been badly damaged, said Owner of Monmouthshire Hearing Centre, Helen Hollywell.

“Words don’t put it into how we are feeling at the moment but we will come back.

“The first thing when I opened the door this morning I just burst into tears, you know what to expect but the reality of it this morning was just absolutely heartbreaking.

“I’ve got a brilliant team and we will get back up on our feet.”
