SERVICES were held in Monmouth this morning to remember those who died in the two World Wars and all conflicts since.

Representatives from the armed forces, along with town mayor Graham Pritchard and members of the public gathered at Monmouth castle to take part in the two minute silence held across the country.

Meanwhile, passers-by through Agincourt Square also stopped to pay their respects. A plaque read: “This field of remembrance is laid to enable relatives and friends of the fallen to plant a cross in the field in memory of those who made the supreme sacrifice.”
