MONMOUTH's power supply went off Monday evening (2nd September) with more than 300 customers losing power.
Karen Welch of Western Power Distribution, said:
"At 8.53pm on the 2nd September, a fault occurred on an overhead power line attached to a wooden pole next to the A40 junction with Leasebrook Lane in Monmouth. As a result 334 customers went off supply, 76% of the customers affected were restored in 53 minutes.
"The remaining 80 customers were off mains supply until 6.25am on 3rd September. However, some of those customers were put onto temporary mobile generators while network alterations were carried out.
"Staff worked through the night to carry out repairs which have now been completed. We would like to apologise to all those customers who were affected."
